Thanks for writing this up, Josh. Your point about the business owning its domain gets skipped a lot when a web designer or a relative sets everything up... Easy check is to look up who the registrant is and which inbox gets the renewal notice. Sometimes it's a personal address from five years ago.
100% agree with you. I join the local Chamber of Commerce, and when I see a free email address I get the same reaction. It is so easy and such a cheap investment; that will make you look like the professional you are trying to portrait, that is a no brainer. This to mee is like the business owner that goes online and creates an LLC, but never get the bylaws or the operating agreement, stock or membership certificate... I don't see many influencer talk about this.. or I guess is not trending because is not another strategy to pay -0- taxes... 😂

OMG! This is my pet peeve! Its like the professional does not take himself seriously- why should anyone else!!
Getting an email from a “professional” using a free address is such a turnoff for me.
